Our Story: From Grove to Gathering Place
What began as a hog farm in the 1950s and later became part of a citrus grove has grown into one of Fort Myers’ most beloved destinations. After the original orange grove went out of business, the land was purchased in 2009 by a local family with a vision to reconnect the community with fresh, locally grown food. They started with produce, but quickly saw the need to show people how to use it, adding a demonstration kitchen and eventually a farm-to-table restaurant.
By 2012, our beloved Buckingham Farms had evolved into a full-service dining and event venue. Today, our company stands as a thriving example of sustainable farming, heartfelt hospitality, and the power of reimagining what a farm can be.
